It is very resistant to osmotic pressure. Lalvin EC1118 exhibits robust and reliable fermentation kinetics. Its sensory contribution is considered neutral because it contributes very little to the sensory evaluation of the wine. It is widely used in the world in the production of white and red wines. Also used to make cider.
