Homebrew Malt Kit - American Wheat

American Wheat Ale – this is a light, refreshing, and clean wheat beer, combining the softness of wheat with a prominent citrus and tropical hop aroma (grapefruit, lime, orange, or herbal notes). The flavor is typically dry, slightly grainy, without the banana or clove notes found in Hefeweizen, and the bitterness remains mild (15–35 IBU). It's a summery, sessionable beer, perfect for hot days.

Expected Parameters:
OG: approx. 1.045 - 1.050
FG: approx. 1.010 - 1.007
ABV: approx. 4.8% - 5.2%
IBU: approx. 22 - 28
EBC: approx. 7 - 9

Ingredients:
Malts: Pilsner, Wheat Blanc, Wheat Munich.
Hops: Motueka, Centennial. Yeast: WPL001 Californian Ale.

We recommend adding an additional 5-6% of rice hulls during mashing.
