FermZilla - 60L All Rounder Easy Grip Pressure Kit
FermZilla All Rounder Easy Grip Pressure Kit
This is a convenient all-in-one kit for those who want to ferment under pressure with the latest 60L FermZilla All Rounder Easy-Grip fermenter.
1 x 60L FermZilla tank
1 x New Easy Grip handle
1 x FermZilla stand
1 x Pressure-rated lid
1 x Temperature strip
1 x Red 2.5 bar pressure relief valve
1 x Graduation sticker
1 x Pressure kit (carbonation caps, float with hose)
1 x Spunding valve (0-15psi)
This fermenter is made of ultra-smooth PET, making it easy to clean. Simply use a small scoop of P B W and clean it after soaking for 5 minutes. No scrubbing required.
Large 120 mm opening
The opening at the top is significantly larger than in older "Snub Nose" or other similar fermenters. This bad boy has a 120 mm opening, so even brewers with large hands can easily reach the top, making cleaning even easier.
Pressure-rated
This fermenter is pressure-rated up to 2.5 bar, so you can force carbonate just like in a keg. You can use this fermenter for closed transfers and significantly reduce oxygen exposure.
Crystal clear
The walls of the "All Rounder" fermenter are crystal clear, so you can see what is happening inside. This makes it very easy to visually determine how fermentation is progressing, how the yeast is flocculating, etc.
Impermeable
PET plastic is not permeable like some other fermenters made of PP or HDPE. The wall of the fermenter is a much better gas barrier, so the product stays fresh longer.
No flavor or aroma transfer
Other HDPE fermentation vessels tend to be porous enough to carry flavors and aromas from one batch to the next.
Please note:
When using this vessel under pressure, you must perform a water pressure test to ensure your connections are airtight. To do this, fill the FermZilla vessel with water, then introduce at least 15 kPa of pressure into the vessel. Check for leaks around all caps/threads.
Occasionally, these units may arrive with minor indentations/dimples/dents sustained during shipping; this is a reality of shipping large, thin-walled blow-molded vessels. Do not panic; these fermentation vessels are designed to withstand such minor deformations. This was a necessary design feature to allow them to handle the occasional suction caused by cold crashing and rough transport without compromising their integrity and ability to hold high pressure. All minor dents will pop out and settle with use and positive pressure, so they only pose a problem and are grounds for replacement in the rare event that white stress marks begin to appear or the plastic is damaged.
If you are fermenting under pressure, it is advised to perform a pressure test to ensure the FermZilla tank is airtight.
Never pour water over 55°C into a FermZilla fermenter. Deformation may occur.
