NOTE: This fermenter is not designed for fermenting under pressure or carbonation. If you are looking for a pressure-rated fermenter that can be used for carbonation, we recommend the FermZilla All-Rounder 30L or 60L, or the FermZilla Conical Uni Tank 27L and 55L models. For this reason, this tank does not come with a PRV valve and we do not recommend modifying it for pressure.
WARNING: This fermenter is rated for temperatures up to 45°C only. Ensure that any liquid is cooled to below this temperature before pouring into the fermenter.
This amazing fermenter is perfect for:
- Homebrewing and beer making
- Wine making / transferring
- Kombucha fermentation
- Spirit wash fermentation
Dimensions: 35 x 35 x 47 cm up to the accessory port on top of the lid.
5 reasons why the FermZilla flat bottom is superior to other HDPE and PP fermenters:
- Ultra-smooth PET is ultra-smooth, making it easier to clean. Other HDPE fermenters have a very porous wall, which means the wort sticks to the walls, and the pores of HDPE are large enough for bacteria to grow in.
- Better oxygen barrier Some fermenters, such as Coopers type, are not even airtight and have a loose-fitting lid, allowing oxygen to easily enter the fermenter. Other fermenters are often made of HDPE, which has a high gas permeability rate, allowing oxygen to penetrate through the walls of the fermenter.
- Lightweight and strong FermZilla fermenters are lightweight yet very strong and shatterproof.
- Convenient lid opening size The opening at the top is 120mm in diameter, making it easy to insert a hand for cleaning, but small enough to seal the lid tightly with minimal force.
- New lid design The new lid design allows for easy attachment of other accessories to the lid, such as a thermowell or glycol coil.
Never pour water hotter than 45°C into the FermZilla fermenter. Deformation may occur.
