Comet is a dual-purpose hop.
Comet hops have a subtle aroma of wild American grasses and grapefruit.

Comet's flavor profile is based on a strong grapefruit accent. It has strong bittering properties and is traditionally considered by brewers to be best suited as a bittering hop for American-style lagers. However, it has recently been increasingly used as an aromatic hop in ales and IPAs.
