Silicon Dioxide - clarifier

Silicon dioxide (SiO2) is commonly used in the brewing process as a clarifying agent. It helps remove turbidity-causing particles such as yeast and protein from beer, resulting in a clearer and more visually appealing beer.

Silica acts as a binding agent, attracting and retaining suspended beer particles. The larger clumps formed by the silica and particles settle out, making the beer clearer.
